Advanced Maternity and Newborn Care
Trust your family’s care to the childbirth experts at Mercy Birthplace in Northwest Arkansas. Our experienced labor and delivery team provides the comprehensive care you and your baby need for a healthy start – all in one place. If a higher level of care is needed, you have the reassurance of our on-site neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and adult ICU.
As partners in your baby’s birth, we provide personalized and compassionate care with respect for your preferences. Complete your birth plan several months before your due date and discuss it with your doctor. When the time comes, bring your birth plan to the hospital and share it with your Mercy nurses.

Mercy Birthplace offers a variety of classes to prepare expectant parents for labor and birth. Choose from virtual or hybrid (a combination of virtual and in-person) options. Our hybrid classes allow you to learn at your own pace from home and join us at the hospital to learn from our nurse educators.

Mercy Birthplace is committed to supporting your breastfeeding goals. Our certified lactation consultants can meet with you before delivery, during your hospital stay and after you go home. As experts in infant nutrition, our lactation consultants offer a full range of support.

We also offer Weigh-In Wednesdays, a welcoming support group where parents of newborns share feeding experiences. Lactation consultants are available to answer questions, and you can track your baby’s weight each week. This group is free, and registration isn’t required. Join us on Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. on the fifth floor of Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas.
